The US House of Representatives released HR 3962 this past week which is going to be their final draft of health care reform legislation. When this bill was drafted, the Kucinich amendment that was voted on and approved in the original legislation was stripped from this new bill. This amendment would allow states to enact their own single payer health care systems without having to deal with ERISA laws.

Today's action can only be considered a success. Although no one was arrested at the Anthem office, we secured media coverage and got the word out. The police were already at their offices once we arrived, and were given permission by Anthem to allow us up to the door to speak with an executive.

We are going to be meeting at the AFSCME office building. This is a few buildings down from the Anthem building we will be targeting. The address is 6800 N High St. They have been kind enough to allow us to use their parking lot as a staging location, so please park at the back of the parking lot, and we will be congregating in the back of the lot per their wishes.
